[ a poisionous love ]
He doesn’t even care how he affects her
Her hands, extending to his as if she needed him like a drug
Stretching beyond her limitations, she realizes she’s addicted to a poisonous love
He walks toward something he desires more than her
Her eyes follow his, hoping she’ll meet his gaze
Their eyes never meet, but in the end she’ll want to go to a poisonous love
She’s under a spell, or so it seems
She stares deep into nothingness; an empty, never-ending void
Her eyes are pitifully desperate, and always leaning to a poisonous love
Her face now covered in a thousand tears
They fall like a cool April shower down her weary face
He overpowers her, like a drug
And still she’s addicted to a poisonous love
