World AIDS Day 2003
In these days of the new drug cocktails, few remember that not all AIDS victims tolerate the drugs. Few remember that AIDS is a pandemic in Africa.
Five people worldwide die of AIDS every minute of every day. HIV has hit every corner of the globe, infecting more than 42 million men, women and children, 5 million of them last year alone, worldaidsday.org tells us.
oh so scary

Your quilting always makes me see a picture of small groups of women, perhaps a few men too, having cheery chats as they create something beautiful and so very meaningful. Thank you so much for this and the links. Warm Hugs

Thank you for the reminders, and the photos of the beautiful quilts. RYN: I am on ME (I know, I know) … and it seems as though it’s a disk injury of some kind. But look, here I am, so maybe it’s not too much of a worry. Hug.

You do good stuff, G. Thanks for the reminders. I’ve been hearing lots about AIDS and HIV on the news lately. This morning, I heard that in a few years, there could be as many as 10 million with HIV in China alone.

I remember.I remember a lot of names of those I’ve know who died before the cocktail was available. I know that we almost lost my astral twin, his t-cell count was down to 10 before the cocktail pulled him back to life.I remember.
