A Persistent Vegetative State

I dozed the morning away in the tub yesterday….totally involuntarily mind you, so I think I have done my water sports for the week. I’ll press my nose to the dirty windows and watch actual rain fall from our skies today. I dozed the afternoon away in front of the computer yesterday, but it will be ok to do this again since I haven’t the faintest idea where I went.

The back pain is remarkably less….still with me but only in passing. Thank you so much for your kind words. You bet they are appreciated. I continue holding still, obviously forced into this by my over reaction to the anti-inflammatory, and I’m doing as little as possible. It’s the only sane thing to do.

Rick 4.0 was right though, we should eat out for the next four or five days once the broccolied soup is consumed. I attempted a schnitzeled chicken for the entree last night. It tasted great, but I had forgotten to pound the chicken flat so it was the lumpiest schnitzel ever seen.

I’ve been giving a good show in the kitchen nightly. Last night I dropped the brand new jar of savory on the tiled floor. Little glass shards glittered everywhere especially in the melon I dropped right in the center of the savory. Green on green with sparkles….an artistic triumph though a deadly culinary failure. Tonight I will be dashing and fix only garlic bread….in a single layer. Two nights ago I tried it as a buttered loaf. I got a buttered, lumpy, melting into itself, mass.

I have, with well padded shins especially on the one that I took the skin off on the dishwasher two days ago, rotated the bed. Pushed up against the big bookcase in the bedroom, I will be able to doze off over my pile of books, watch the rain in the world outside, and peer at the small TV between snores. Maybe this afternoon I will attempt to read diaries and journals here and on ITW if it is up.

I am a great admirer of Anne McCafffrey. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been re-reading her mystery/romances – Lady, Mark of Merline, Ring of Fear, Stich in Snow – which I had not read in a while.

RYN: Here’s the link to a site with pictures: http://www.authenti-city.com/index.html And this is a Yahoo news article, but if you look under the pictures, you’ll see the link to the slide show. It’s under something like “Slide show: same sex marriage issues”. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&e=5&u=/ap/20040220/ap_on_re_us/gay_marriage_calif Have a good day. 😀

Dang. You must be frustrated by these limitations. Order in. Have G shop for food. Easy does it! Hugs,

Glad to hear you’re getting some relief. I hope you can quit taking those pills soon. It’s raining here today too-I’d like to be home watching it out my window! I’m beginning to think ITW is permanently broken. Have a healing day. xoxo

Have some chocolate and feel better and remember, we all drop stuff, meds or no. It makes for interesting patterns of the kitchen floor. Belle

Hi Georgette. I have some catching up to do. 🙂

Get well soon…so you can get off that anti-inflamatory thingie. 🙂

time to order in! no KP for you! hope you are feeling better

My goodness, I go mad with happiness and you are laid up and dozing over your books, what’s to come of us? ry?: oh, just that academians tended to have macs when I taught so I did then, my first computers were macs, but the hospital where I worked had microsoft, as did my fellow’s office so he bought me this microsoft, word set up when my others aged. I wanted to have another mac… mags

It’s the weather… I slept until 12:00 … got dressed because we were supposed to go out to dinner. Ultimately took a rain check and now I’m ready to take my meds and head for bed. Too much p.t. and my hand is now hurting… do continue to vegetate and I’ll do the same. Tehachap

Sounds like an eventful day, despite the dozing! I love Anne McCaffrey books too. Anything to do with dragons actually! RYN: NO I won’t be a sister, LOL Just a staff nurse. Sisters are higher up the tree and I would actually be a Charge Nurse (its a male thing! LOL) Hugz

Yes. Reading. Quiet, clean house. Rainy weather. Now for the popcorn, a fire in the fireplace, music and back issues of magazines to read. Hope the back continues to heal along with your frazzled thoughts.((Carrie))
