A Day Off

Yup, a day off. Imagine sleeping in to seven. Only after toast for lunch did we do the one job of the day. We moved the living room furniture and centered the big carpet back on it’s pad. Big stuff.

I walked. The women and men walking on the Susan B. Komen Walk for the Cure passed right by our house today. I cheered on the front runners, and later I spoke encouraging words to those walking late in the afternoon. I can’t fully support this enterprise as they ask you to raise $2000.00 per entrant or you can’t walk. I couldn’t do that……..perhaps that’s why I am not rich and famous. I can’t get out there and do things like that. But I can cheer.

Read but couldn’t concentrate. Dozed. I don’t like doing that. It feels a bit as if I have sleeping sickness. Off to dinner now. G works three days this week, but I do have to work on Friday. Until Thursday I will dig in and attempt to answer some of those many emails sitting in my inbox. I’m so blessed to have friends like these for so many years, but to keep them, I need to answer their posts. Oh guilt.

We only have to pay a small fee to get into the Komen race here. I think it was $20. I want to do it again in May. Lazy days are good! xoxo

I kinda like dozing. Sort of like being in two places at once. I wish you could come to my house for turkey day. I’m making a kickass dinner Wednesday night! Dozing on Thursday.
