Cakes, holidays and houses.

So I handed my notice in on Friday, so scary! My manager was off though so I guess he will get it this morning. I’m a bit scared to see him haha not that he would be annoyed or anything though which is good. I’ve got 3 more shifts left at reception after today then I’m on holiday and won’t be back at work til the 31st which is when I start my new job. So exciting yet scary at the same time. I’ve worked in this section since I was at school but in different parts so have kinda grown up with these people! Will be sad to leave but it’s onwards and upwards!!

Head to Florida a week tomorrow We’re flying from Glasgow though so are staying there Monday night so technically it’s a week today hehe. So nervous in case I forget anything. I’ve made a big list of things we will need but then am worried I will have forgotton to put something on the list!

That house I had seen advertised in my area was advertised at the wrong price so it’s out of our price range but we have seen one round about where Paul lives so we will be looking into that one now! Feel so grown up looking at houses!! Quite excited though, been thinking about how we can decorate and things and what sofa to get and blah blah blah. A little early to be thinking about all that but it’s good to plan ahead haha. Figured out we would prob need about £2000 to get appliances and things and add our own little touches to the decor. This house has nice decor anyway but would want to make it my own as well!

My brother was 21 last week. Feel so old having a little brother who is 21!! I made him a cake. He loved Wallace and Gromit when he was young so that’s what I put on his cake. Turned out really well I was pretty pleased with it! We had a wee thing for him on Saturday afternoon with family and things. I had to take my auntie to pick up my cousins wee baba as he was working. Was so careful when she was in the car I’ve never driven a baby before! She slept the whole way though so it was great. My cousin had been working away for a few weeks so hadn’t seen her in ages, he got in just before us and his whole face lit up when we walked in with her it was so sweet!

My other cousin is pregnant too, due in Feb. Exciting having babies in the family, makes me quite broody too but at the same time I think I can just cuddle theirs and give them back when they start to play up! Paul’s mum is desperate to be a granny and now that we have other babies here I think my mum would quite like it too. I’d love to but would rather wait until we are in our own house all settled and not living between our parents houses!

It’s Paul’s mum’s 50th this weekend and he wants me to make her a cake too so I need to get thinking about what I’m going to do! I’ve told him he can buy me things I might need for it coz it all adds up haha. I’ve got ingredients from my brothers cake so will prob only need decorating things. Better get looking on the internet for some ideas! I’ll leave you with a pic of the cake I made my brother.
