Week Wrap-Up

If you remember earlier in the week I talked about LG, and some tension there. That shouldn’t exist this weekend…

LG finally opened up about stuff that was bothering him. It turned out there’s this one guy, lets call him IllonLion for now. LG had this grand scheme he was going to move out and into an apartment with ILion who was coming over from Iowa and is gay. Twin’s parents are very nice people with an extra bedroom and are letting ILion stay in that room with the same rules that applied to Twin, CapChef when they had boyfriends over. Since then, LG has made an effort to try and graduate on time and has been less rebellious.

… non-psych major Gemini did note he was acting out, he was hiding something and if we could get him to open up things would get better. WIN! Even though I wasn’t the one to get him to open up, and that’s not really my role as a brother(-in-law).

… Also, could you imagine what kind of a MESS that would’ve created? Two people who haven’t met in person, at least recently LG would contend, moving in together and you have LG that declares himself as Bisexual? That’d be like me and LeoCan moving in together just after we finished HS. Twin and I both think "bisexual" in this case is a cop-out, either LG is leading ILion on if he’s really straight or lying to himself and those around him if he’s 100% homosexual. We don’t care either way, but several things will say that males typically aren’t bisexual.

I’ve calmed down a bit from yesterday. During a Shultzy’s trip I told Twin that I want power and responsibility. I don’t care what my age is, that’s something I’m capable of and should actively pursue. I want to be the one with all the answers, or the one with all the tools to find answers for the questions that are asked of me. I’m a great, independent worker that is reliable…as I may have said the other day… even at the age of 27 bordering 28. I’ve noted all sorts of situations where people are age-ists against me and it annoys me.

I do have the option of talking to a guy at WGU tomorrow. I should also arrange a meeting with an advisor at Green River to discuss certificates and how those will help me find gainful employment. Ironically, both might end up costing about the same. WGU is $2,900 for 6 months and Green River could be even more expensive at $300-400 per class. WGU is a great way to start over and achieve something greater than I originally intended for myself and what was my potential Wife and future kids that haven’t been realized yet. GRCC would be to tailor my education more specifically and earn certifications with any number of programs on the way to an AA degree or two, and probably the least impressive of the routes.

That’s that. We celebrate Twins’ Dad’s birthday tomorrow with dinner at Famous Daves and they’re greatly-oversized meals and a movie at some theater with plush, oversized, reclining seats. There are straws they bought so they can leave the drinks in the cup-holder and reach up to their mouth. I don’t think I’ll be doing that and Twin and I will split a meal.

You are smart man, and I think you can do whatever you want to do. You articulate well and have a good sense of others. I hope you and Twin have a great birthday weekend. all the best in whatever you decide to do.

Ive always thought the same about bi guys. I remember the age-ist thing back when I was your age. I hated it then b/c I was interested in responsibility, authority, moving up and all that good stuff. Now that people want to give that to me, I dont want it. hahaha funny how we change as we grow. Oh but yes, I think you are ready for all of those things.

I hope you guys have a good weekend. 🙂 And I’m just curious, but could you show me some of this stuff that says men can’t be bi…? Because I’ve taken the psychology of sexuality and everything we learned in there would say otherwise. Not to meant that I know several bi guys (and girls for that matter) through my participation in the LGBT community and they would be highly (and rightfully, I think) offended by the suggestion that they aren’t really bi, just confused.

ryn: yes we are adamant about NOT declawing, we think it’s pretty inhumane. did you know they actually chop off part of the cat’s toe in the process? so sad! we just teach our cats to use the scratching posts. if they scratch somewhere bad, we just pick them up and move them to the post. sometimes putting double sided tape on things you don’t want scratched works as well, we’ve done that before. and put hot sauce on things you dont’ want chewed on. only takes once or twice for the cat to figure out a life lesson like that. they’re smart animals.

RYN: Yeah, I wasnt expecting to really “play” just pretty much stand there and try to catch the ball. Of course, when one is on the pitch, one tends to forget they are hurt & then over does it & winds up like me…back to limping. In rec league we have unlimited subs (if we have players) subs happen at throw ins (the team who takes the throw in can sub) or at a center kick or goal kick,

where both teams can sub in or out). No subs at penalty kicks or corners. Its pretty basic & simple. I did like that saying. It fits. As for my goalie skills… whew… I sucked! 🙂 Thank God for my defense and offense who kicked butt & kept the ball out of our side of the field! 🙂
