Speaking Up, Speaking Out

I feel the need to write, but I’m having a tough time with something I consider acceptable to my own standards.

I am a complicated personality and desire to operate without boundaries. This is clearly evident if you’ve seen how many characters I’ve created in the game Skyrim. The races are listed below and I have played as those in bold:

Nord
Altmer/High Elf
Breton
Orc
Redguard
Imperial
Bosmer/Wood Elf
Khajiit
Argonian
Dunmer/Dark Elf

I just like getting different experiences, even if they are slight differences.

I was offended the other day by the implication that LG might be "confused" because of his claim to be bisexual. Unfortunately, I could not find the source for where I heard that the population of bisexual males is factually smaller in comparison to female bisexuals. First off, I wouldn’t accuse anyone of being confused. LG could be bisexual, it really doesn’t matter. I do my best to accept people as who they are, whether its a momentary opinion of themselves, a phase, or a permenant part of their personality and being. With all the LGBT talk lately on KUOW/PRI I understand that even within a minority group such as that there are specialized designations. To correlate to another minority group, its like Mexicans and putting them under that large umbrella, when really there are many subcultures and states within Mexico. Does that make sense as a metaphor? I believe one day, almost all of us will be a mix of every ethnicity. I took that away from an article I read a long time ago… and it even had a picture of a conceptualized facial complexion of what that might look like.

I’m expressing a thought, and maybe I’m just triggered by being judged (reflective of my mom’s behavior while I was growing up and to this day) or surprised by the source, or being overly sensitive.

Another situation that has way too many implications for me to juggle in expressing myself and my stance revolves around declawing cats. I could easily get off topic and relate it to Abortion. In short, its clearly a situational decision and I would put my feelings aside to decide to do what is right for the pet. As a pet owner and potential parent, I would do anything to make sure they are safe, comfortable, and protect them. Pets are easier than children because educating pets stops at house-breaking. Another thing I have to sa is it was just an idea. Any idea I present is probably an attempt to exhaust all options by thinking outside of the box.

The are more than just those I think, but they are even harder to discuss in a centralized location and express in static words and sentences. The ironic expression "Change is the only constant" is something I pretty much live by.

I really like the way you clarify your original thoughts here.

I really like this, b/c I too have a tendency to say things, make generalizations, but always always I realize that my opinion thought or idea is never static…I can and do often change my mind the next day or even hour…minute… as do others. I dont know if that made sense. RYN: I have never in my life worked in such a dysfunctional environment ever.

about the whole declawing thing…..agreed, i totally think its situational. depends on the mentality and personality of the individual cat and individual owner. its never been an option for me, however it seems to be the best alternative for some people about the bisexual situation, during college i took various social science classes that really gave good perspective on sexuality in general. i like the notion that sexuality is a sliding scale and people can fall anywhere on that scale, with “bisexual” landing somewhere in the middle. i know in our culture its hard not to want to label someone, but seems to be one of those scenarios (at least IMO) that isn’t black or white and people can change locations on that scale at any point in their life.
