Checking In and Checking Out

Checking-In

I’ve been busy the last couple of days at work stuffing envelopes. Yes, that is how glorious my position is. It provides time to focus on KUOW and ponder different theories and such.

I did NOTHING on the 4th. Okay, I suppose that’s not true. I woke up sort of early (6:30 AM) and started working on Twin’s character on Skyrim. I have done all but 2 achievements finished on her profile. I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. Then went back to Skyrim to prepare a new character on my Gem1n1_Eyes profile. I named him Arbutus Dunbar (I have an affinity for traditional/old English names). Two names I have joked about naming a son if I had one. Those are the names of two streets in Vancouver B.C. around where Twin’s grandmother lives. That character is a Breton, so between 3 profiles I have all skill trees specialized. I only managed to get to Level 6 in my time, but I was focusing more on storylines rather than levelling efficiently. This is meant to get ready to play the expansion DawnGuard on all 3 profiles.

Twin and I have been playing Borderlands most evenings lately. She has been doing really well when it comes to riding to work, then coming home and eating well before doing some resistance workouts. After that its game time. That started from her playing Resident Evil 5 at her parents house last weekend while I was watching the Sounders game. She enjoyed that very much, so we’ve moved beyond Lego games.

Checking-Out

Last day of work for 5 days. I’m looking forward to that very much. Tonight we’re Disc Golfing before we come home, pack. I will pack up the car and do laundry before we leave.

I haven’t been reading the last couple of days for various reasons. My thoughts have been mostly revolving around the cost of education, figuring out which direction I want to go. I’ve been contemplating that I’m not really destined for greatness, unless I really want to fight my lack of resolve to sort through learning mundane details that don’t matter because facts are so situational. I feel like learning software and becoming efficient with that can be applied to any position I might fill, but the details of billing, or applying cash, or anything else accounting related are different dependent on where I work.

I’ll leave it at that. Checking out on some lofty sort of thing that I have to figure out in order to move forward.
