Happy New Year! *edit*

Happy new year everyone. I hope you all had a good christmas/new year.

Ours went off with a bang…. Or perhaps not. Maybe the bang of fireworks through the tv screen. It was our first new years as a family, and it was….. quiet. We went to my parents place who were away, and ended up spending the night in front of the tv watching a Saturday Night Live Specials marathon and the new years fireworks with my sister who had to work the next day. I mean dont get me wrong, I wouldnt have wanted to spend it with anyone else, and it didnt matter what we did as long as we were together as a family. We expected a quiet one this year, but I guess there was a part of us that both wanted to let loose a little, and have a good time. Kati pumped plenty of milk so she could have a few drinks and have fun, but as I said above, we ended up in front of the tv, bloated from too much thai food and beer minus the beer buzz. That siad, I know there is always next year, or the next, or the next to have fun! I know it wont be like this forever, and I did enjoy myself, it just wasnt as lively as we had both stupidly expected!

Im here back at work after a week and a couple of days off, and cant believe the time went so fast! I knew it would, but I cant believe its gone already. It was the shortest christmas break I’ve had in 8 years. My bosses are getting all tight now trying to save every dollar and maximise every dollar they can make. That said, Im here and half the other shops in the shopping centre are closed, its 9.45 and I havent had 1 phone call or customer in the 45 minutes I’ve been here. I cant complain too much though, it was a pain to have to work today, but now that Im here I can at least get paid overtime rates to do some much needed catching up with my faves on OD Hopefully it will stay quiet and I can catch up on everyone!
