Work has been so quiet these past few days, I have been doing stupid shit because there is nothing left to do. It has allowed me to have a few revelations though, about the way I am living my life right now.  I realised that I really need to exercise more, eat right, and spend less time watching tv and on the computer. I need to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the fresh air, enjoy what life has to offer. So we are going to hopefully get good weather on Saturday and finally make it to the mountains for our day trip with River. Im really looking forward to it!

I was lying on the lounge with River earlier, just watching her sleep, watching her cough, watching her hiccup, just watching here be her, and it occured to me that she is a little person! I know that sounds weird, but it just amazed me how something so tiny, is exactly the same as me. Has all the same organs (well mostly, besides the obvious ) and they all perform the same functions. I dont know why this was such a revelation for me, I just thought it was really cool!

River has been really good today from what I heard, but she slept most of the day, so I have a feeling its going to be an interesting night….

Oh, and does anyone have any tips for how to get her to take a dummy?! She has always struggled with taking it, but most times I have managed to get her to take it. Lately though, probably the last week or so, I just CANNOT get her to take it! She s constantly spitting it out, but trying to take it at the same time. Either that or it bends and slips out the side of her mouth. Im sure it must be frustrating for her too, but its really driving me mad when she is so worked up and I cant get her to take it!

Is a dummy a pacifier? I wasnt really sure =) but maybe try different style nipples. Mckenna won’t take any nipple but the straight one. The bended ones she just spits out. I hope what I’m trying to explain makes sense =)

I understand what you mean, that is pretty crazy to think about. Im so happy for you, even with the lack of sleep and the little bumps in the road. Its so amazing.
