It’s been awhile…

So it’s been awhile since I’ve last been here, writing in my diary… thinking about my life… In ways I can get so frustrated at myself for not taking time to do this on a regular basis.  Who in their right mind can say that they are so busy that they don’t update their journal for 18 months?  Certainly not me, and yet… it is so. The hands of time win again, and I surrender willingly, acquiescing to its whims.

They say that life is what happens to you while you’re busy making plans.  Well, in my case, life just keeps happening, and if I don’t pay attention to it, then another day passes and my need for reflection becomes that much more needed.  Sadly, I do not know if the great catharsis will happen here… or even now… but it is long overdue. 

When it happens, the un-burdening will be significant to me; something by which I will mark the change in myself before and after, and know that a substantial difference exists between those two personas.

In ways I both look forward to and fear this moment. 

I hope the big guy upstairs is looking down over me… I’m gonna need Him!
