Updates

Things with me are good! I wish there was something more exciting to report- but there isn’t:)  I’m just really enjoying the single life- been going out a lot, been making out with random, meeting a bunch of new people, etc… lol…

It’s been fun to have my best friend back single and we’ve been taking advantage of doing “new things” and having fun. Not all have them have involved partying though- we’ve gone to museums, exhibits, festivals, hiking, parks, shopping, etc. But we’ve gone out a lot too. We’ve also both been on this “mission” to meet/make new girl friends. It’s not like anything bad has happened- and by all means, I still love all of my friends dearly. But I think that there does come a time when peoples’ lives are going in different directions and priorities change. And to be honest, a lot of my friends who are NOT married OR Preggo and have an excuse to be understandably doing different things, have just.gotten.lame. And it’s not like I’m saying every night we have to “go clubbin” or anything. But there are some girls that never want to do anything except the occasionally weeknight dinner- and even for those nights- there’s not much to talk about or many similarities anymore. It’s fine and there are no hard feelings – it’s just that the dynamics of our friend pool are different. With that said, Casi and I have made several new friendships with girls that seem to be more “on our level” for now. Among them are Kim, Justine, Tina and Kelly… and I am loving getting to know them, having new/different things to talk about- trying new things- and having fun!

Also loving my new roommate (not like that!) Rob. He’s such a sweet guy, we’ve gotten pretty comfortable around eachother pretty fast, and he’s just all-in-all a great roommate!

As far as the guys scene… I did meet a great guy this past Sat night. But…– I can’t remember his name!! lol… I met him through a guy friend at the bar (keep in mind this was AFTER a costume bday party and drinsk since 7pm!). We talked at the bar for an hour or so, danced, and he even came back to my house  with me and Casi (all we did was kiss- don’t worry! Lol) and I don’t freakin remember his name! I was so drunk! oops! And I haven’t been able to figure it out because- Sunday we were texting back and forth- and then he called me. So I couldn’t be “that girl” and not pick up since we had just been texting. Then Monday night he called me again. I didn’t answer this time- but he didn’t leave a message! I called him a half hour later hoping maybe he wouldn’t answer and I would get his voicemail, but he answered. (And we talked for another good 20 mins or so..awww…) So then yesterday, I blocked my number and called him in the middle of the day hoping for his vm and I got it! But it wasn’t a message- it was just the generic phone number voicemail! Lol!!! So I still don’t know his name! and I cant ask his frined cause he’d totally be like “dude- she doesn’t remember your name”..haha… I’m screwed! Any other ideas??

As far as the other stuff with him- he’s soo easy to talk to on the phone. And I was pretty impressed that he called me both Sunday and Monday just to talk. On Monday he asked me if I wanted to go running at the river on Tuesday night (apparently we had both talked about how we run at the chattahooche) but I had a soccer game after work, so I explained that to him. I did “throw it out there” and told him that I had told my roommate I would go watch the West VA game at his “alumni bar” with him on Thursday night- so I invited “the guy” and asked if he wanted to come out to get some drinks. But he explained that “it’s not you- but I can’t- cause that’s my ex girlfriend’s “go to” bar so I really try to stay away from that place.” So tht’s fine and I appreciate him explaining it- but we didn’t make other plans. Hopefully he will give me a call tonight or somethingJ
