it’s raining men
So I’ve been going on a dating frenzy lately. It’s so hard because with online dating it’s either NOTHING or a bunch of guys at once. Yes, Joe has been there the whole time, but you have to “keep your options open”, right? So I have been “speed dating” through the guys to see if I like any of them to keep juggling them…
And yes, that has meant that this week has been crazy but I am going out of town on Thursday and wanted to get them all “out of the way” before I left;) And Joe is out of town right now, so it has been easy to not have to lie…
Thursday night before tennis
Went to coffee with Mark. He showed up a little late (which sucked, cause he knew I only had 45 mins to begin wth because I had tennis) but when he got there we had good conversation and a lot in common (he still plays soccer, etc.) but I wasn’t sure I “felt it”. Thought it went okay though, but didn’t hear from him until yesterday (4 days later and after the whole weekend) through and email that just said “how was tennis? Good to meet you the other day! Plans this week?”…wtf? did your other girls fall off? Haha…
Friday night
Went out with Joe. Date #5, Went to dinner at a little cute Italian place, then went to play pool and darts. Had a great time- wound up running into some guys that I had become friends with (and ironically one that I had hooked up with) that I met through my friend Jamie – so that was fun. Wound up staying out with Joe for 7 hours. Then he took me home, and we finally made out… good stuff! He’s a head holder- I love that! ๐
Saturday was a crappy raining day, so no festival L but I was productive instead…went to the gym, tanned, ran some errands, then caught up on some much needed tv time and the zillions of shows I had saved on my DVR.. then I went out with a bunch of the girls to a st. patty’s party at Fados (Irish Pub)- then we went to East Andrews to check out this U2 cover band. Met up with tim and some of the hs boys…fun times!
Sunday night
I went out with Richard. We met up in the highlands for a drink. Wound up in good conversation and a few drinks. We seemed to have a lot in common and I thought that it went well. And he was cute. not as handsome as Joe, but cute.. BUT… when we did go to get our tab, the bartender had kept them separate and Richard didn’t even offer to pay mine. Not that he HAD to, but usually the guy would offer. And then when we said bye he hugged me goodbye and said he had a great time, but he didn’t walk me to my car or anything (and it was dark and I was parked on the street). Plus I haven’t heard from him since… guess he wasn’t interested.
Monday
Met up with Dan for drinks. When I got there, he had already consumed one of those huge margharittas. Maybe he was nervous? Lol.. I had a few beers, we talked for a good 2 hours or so. Conversation was easy and we had a lot to talk about b/c we’re both in the healthcare industry. But he was already talking about the future a lot (to the point where I was like slow down!) and seemed to be a typical “salesman” and was more “selling himself” than just talking to me. Plus I wasn’t feelin it…He was into it. I was not…
Tonight:
Bachelor # 6…Ryan. We are meeting for a drink after work (before my soccer game)…we’ll see how that goes.
Right now- none of these guys seem to compare to Joe…and it seems to be making that clear for me..we’ll see J
