A Detailed Psychological Study

Being the amateur scientist that I am, I recently did an experiment on random female instant messengers (from here on to be known as RFIM for short) involving their apparent affinity towards balloons. What follows are the results of this systematic experiment.

First, I made a yahoo profile of myself available online. I outlined a bit of basic information about myself and included a normal picture of me, not particularly attractive or unattractive. This same picture remained on my yahoo profile for roughly 6 months. During those 6 months I got about one RFIM messaging me per month for a grand total of about 6 RFIM.

This is the unexciting part of the experiment. There is nothing wholly special about 6 RFIM messaging me online. However, I recently edited my yahoo profile and changed my primary picture to a picture of myself with a balloon on my ear. The results have been overwhelming.

Since, I placed the new balloon-ear picture, I have received a total of 6 RFIM’s messaging me in 7 days or about 1 per day, as opposed to 1 per month. That’s right, placing a balloon on my ear in my yahoo profile has caused the number of RFIM’s to increase dramatically, more dramatically than even I could have expected. At the current rate, (although I’m guessing it will subside a bit) I would get about 312 RFIM’s a year. That’s about 300 more than I was getting balloonless.

The question remains, what is it that attracts RFIM’s to balloons? This I do not know. Oddly enough, before employing the balloon picture, I used a picture of myself with a hover disk, which did not produce any discernable changes in the number of RFIM’s. So, apparently, any object filled with helium does not attract RFIM’s, but, rather, specifically, the traditional balloon does. Obviously, further research needs to be done before conclusions are drawn.

Those of you who are interested in seeing the aforementioned yahoo profile for research purposes, can reach it here.

Maybe it brings out your eyes.

You’re such a weirdo. I am not certain of this, but if you are an accounting major, do you actually….and I know this sounds crazy….but…do you actually have a psychological sense of humor? OoooOoOoOOOHhHHhHHhhhhhhhH! This should be interesting. I like that picture, by the way.

And sorry I missed you last night. Haven’t talked to you in forever, I miss that. Sigh. Ah well. Guess I’ll catch you next time.

Whats an RFIM? ~Smooches Baby~

Yeah. Although, I told you that I was going to kill you, and you didn’t believe me for a second, right?
