Medicine Interactions????

Since the surgery on the 7th of September, I have been prescribed a pain medicine called Norco.  It is Hydracodone and Acetaminophen together.  Since then when I take the pill, which I haven’t been NOT taking the pill, but skip a few days in between with my attempts to come off of it, I have been itching in my cast like crazy.  I finally took a Benadryl a couple weeks back and the itching seemed to stop, but now it’s come back all over my body.  I take the pain pill, am fine for a few hours, then begin itching in the cast like crazy, take a benadryl and then the itching ceases in the cast and comes all over my body.  I don’t understand it.  I have welts showing up all over my neck and legs from scratching.  I also had a bad reaction to a misquito bite which turned into red dots all over my back of my leg. 

So I don’t know what to do.  The itching is uncontrollable!  Both in my cast and all over my body. 

Then the tremors.  When I’m on the pain pill, I shake like I have tremors or something.  It’s freaky and my casted foot spasms.  Like it’ll kick randomly and if you touch my toes lightly I jerk my foot back, like you’re burning me.  My foot has a mind of it’s own.  My toes touch something and it jerks back.  It’s scaring me.  My whole body is scaring me.

My weight is going up.  I can’t walk, I can do some exercise.  I eat out of boredom except today when I have absolutely no appetite because of the agony of itching and scratching.  I’m coming down with a cold.  I know, it’s pity party.  I’m sorry.

But I am grateful for the help of my mother-in-law who is an angel.  She’s given me baths, helps me dress, cooks meals for us.  She is a blessing!  And my supportive husband who has been there through all this mess!  I’m blessed by friends and family, so my pity party shouldn’t be about me all the time.
