AWESOME NEWS!!!!!

Well I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday.  I felt a grinding sensation in my foot.  Well….he told me the prongs of one the screws maybe rubbing on the nerves causing a grinding sensation and sound.  He checked out my x-rays and said I’m two weeks ahead of schedule!!  I can walk in a walking boot, now!  The x-rays look perfect, the fusion looks really good and my incisions are beautiful!  So I am walking in a boot right now.  The calf muscle is sore, but the foot is doing well.  Some swelling, but doing good.  I took a long bath last night and shaved my leg and scrubbed it down.  Had access to all the itchy spots as well.  It’s feeling great today.

^^Above is all the pins in place.  This was taken yesterday.

^^Leg atrophied quite a bit.^^

^^You can see the incision mark and where i have scratched it raw.^^

^^Calf muscle almost all the way gone.^^

^^The incision marks on the heel and on the calf where he put the pins in and stretched my Achilles’ tendon.

^^All in my get-up now….this is the boot i have to wear….the bottom is really hard, so I took my orthodic from my shoe and the inserts that came with the shoe and put them in the bottom of the boot.  I am walking on clouds now.  Still a bit painful but doing well.

And that’s it!!

And I weighed myself, and i only gained 7 lbs!
