Easter Monday 2 April 2018
I’ve started (yet again) the Wii 30-day challenge. I realised I’d really fallen off the fitness wagon yet again. So there is Day 1 done. 165 cal, 22-odd minutes.
- Bit of chit-chat on Fb, the result of family photo exposition that drew Cousin V out of the woodwork and shed a bit of light on some activities I had no idea about of a family member. [Her father, Uncle H was given a Star of St Moritz for assisting Solidarity in Poland many years ago via a huge donation of (obsolete here, but no doubt valuable there) medical equipment. I always regarded them as Very Right Wing, and of course in some ways Solidarity were, but well-entrenched in Catholicism, which enabled them to survive, as was Uncle H and his family. ]
- Lovely photo of Mum on FB with little great-grand-niece. She’s had a visit from the youngest great-grand-child too. Very nice that they visited her, and I hope she’ll be visited by the littlest one of all, soon to be born, DV.
- Enjoyable day yesterday with AW, Scrabble as usual, without the usual sumptuous arvo tea, because she is on a low residue diet, poor mite. She is going to ring the Specialist’s rooms tomorrow and see what they have to say about a Plan for the interim while she waits for an appointment. I am ready to go to Adelaide with her whenever it is – we have no appointments on the horizon, except Husband’s on the 10 (dentist). Oh you can’t keep a keen social butterfly down!
Ok, that’s it, back to Grandad.
GRATEFUL:
- I don’t have as much work needing to be done as Husband.
- Still sunny weather and we are loving it
- Sheba seems to be going along OK at 60% of her usual self, though she can get very excited when a bit of Polish Sausage (with hidden medication) comes into view.
I take it Sheba is your dog? How old is Sheba and is Sheba ill? I love to play Scrabble. My ex husband Steve and I used to play it all of the time. He was really really good at it so I usually lost. 😊
@wildrose_2 Hi, yes, Sheba is a 15-y-o Labrador cross-something. She is a bit wobbly-legged, and a fortnight ago couldn’t get up at all, poor mite. She’s been on thyroid supplement, about which I had doubts, but she is better than she was .. can go for a little walk etc. Yes, years ago Husband and I were apart, and I really missed Scrabble.
@fourismyname Thanks for filling me in on Sheba. Do you know, I think it would be fun to play Scrabble again. If memory serves me right, there is some kind of computer game like that on Facebook but I’m not a Facebook member and don’t want to be. Oh well. You take good care.
@wildrose_2 I believe it’s possible to play Scrabble online, live, with some random person, or someone you know. That might be the FB version. Husband has a Scrabble game loaded onto the computer, doesn’t need Internet. He plays it quite a bit.
@fourismyname Scrabble is a wonderful game! It’s a fun way of learning.
