Slacker with Photos
Things are fair to middlin’ as they say. I’ve been extra busy with more shows coming up in the extremely near future. Kentucky was good to me. If this next show in Oregon rocks then I will be about 6 months ahead of the game as far as finances go. It would be, in fact the FIRST TIME, for my little business to start showing an actual profit ( as in…money in my bank account that doesn’t instantly go POOF thanks to bills and show fees). *fingers crossed*!
In the meantime, here are a few photos that I took on the roadtrip back from Kentucky, to Arizona..
In New Mexico, I stopped in a ghost town. A place called Cuervo. Just off of the I-40. It looked as though everyone there suddenly got up one day…..and left. The most random things were left in houses. Things you’d think people would take with them when moving. But no.. it was all left there.
I explored the town for a little bit… but I was followed by two different men in two different vehicles from nearby houses just outside of the ghost town…and decided that a little white girl like me, should probably just think "safety first", and get back to my car. I need to really start thinking about carrying at least a couple of weapons with me, since this is the type of thing that I do somewhat often. I never really thought about my safety in that aspect before. Usually I just think "wilderness survival".. not " hey people are really kind of creepy" survival.
Anyways..
Abandoned (Cuervo, New Mexico)
What Does It Matter?
Relics
(This gas station was actually about 4 miles from Cuervo…I had to double back since said creepy men in vehicles blocked my access road the other way)
This one I shot in Eminence, Kentucky, while taking a walk down Main street..
Waiting
One of these days maybe I’ll become a regular diarist again. I’m sporadic enough with my LiveJournal as it is ( under the name of Meccahi if you want to find me…. ). Though I somehow doubt it since I don’t think anyone actually reads this.
Sleepy Time now..
Love the shots. Always have loved the black and white shots the most…so much more depth….but I liked the color shot at the beginning as well! Thanks for posting them.
