Remember the nuclear accident in Fukushima last year? Where an earthquake and tsunami made 3 reactors at a plant overheat? Well it’s now official that the incident damaged the ecosystem there! See:

That, my friends, is a mutated butterfly! It has disfigured antennas, smaller-sized wings, indented eyes and different color patterns. In six months, mutations went from being in 12% of the butterflies into 28% of them! So it’s growing. I wonder what other species have been affected by the accident…

And I wonder if this is yet another step towards the inevitable zombie apocalypse!

moral of the story: Once again we find that science is a two-headed beast. One head is nice, it gives us aspirin and other modern conveniences… But the other head of science is bad. Oh, beware the other head of science, my friends. It bites
