Busy As A Bee
A lot has happened these past couple of months.
New babysitter who lasted only 3 weeks (she went home to vote in the mid-term elections and never came back because her sister can no longer take care of her 11-month old baby after her sister’s father-in-law suffered a stroke).
And then replaced by another babysitter who lasted only 2 weeks (I found her a new employer because she doesn’t act like a babysitter – she wasn’t good with the baby, doesn’t take care of the baby’s needs, always sitting outside, wearing make up, even at first light, especially at night until midnight! Drinking liquors until 2am and the next day until 5am, then sleeping the whole day…)
Enough is enough! It’s so hard to find decent babysitters nowadays. I’m so traumatized that I can no longer trust anyone to take care of my baby.
That’s why I asked my brother to stop going to school and just take care of my baby when we, my husband and I, are both at work. Good thing he accepted. I even told him I will pay him, the same amount that I pay my nannies, and then we’ll help him find a job when my baby is ready to be left alone at home (at least for a few hours). Or, we could find him a night shift schedule, different from mine, so we can all take turns in taking care of him.
Just when we have little help (because my brother is not that knowledgeable in taking care of babies), my husband is going to take Saturday classes this semester for his Masters in Technology Management. Actually, tomorrow is his enrollment. So, we’ll be seeing less of each other, even less than we already do. And Sunday is dedicated to cleaning the house and laundry. In short, we’ll be seeing less of each other, no more time for entertainment (movies, travel, etc), plus there are additional educational expenses, for the next several months (i.e., around 48 months – it’s a 4-year course).
Oh, well. It’s life.
We may have lots of problems lately, but I don’t consider ourselves miserable.
