All about tooth

Been to the dentist again today. I showed him the x-ray of my tooth #16. I had it periapical x-rayed last Saturday due to the abscess it secretes.. The dentist confirmed that the root canal I had 5 years ago has not been successful. The tooth was not sealed properly that’s why something leaked into the tooth and infected it. Grrrr… Stupid dentist from 5 years ago.. She did not make it right, her fee was very expensive and look at what it’s still costing me now.

The dentist today was very gentle and explained to me what my choices are:

1) tooth extraction (which he does not recommend, because it’s still better to preserve the tooth.. but this one I guess is free because it’s covered by the health card, unlike the other 2)

2) repeat the root canal (although I think it’s going to cost more now than before, plus the dental crown to seal it properly)

3) apicoectomy (checked what it is in wiki  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apicoectomy and it’s kinda scary, AND it costs a lot…

Plus I am not so fond of surgeries nowadays – not just because of the risks it entails, but also because of the anesthesia… I am so forgetful already, I don’t want any more anesthesia please…!

Oh, wait, I think all of these procedures require anesthesia, anyway. Ufffh…

So, now I just have to decide which one I can afford.
