Quick Study

Yes, I realize that this is the third time I’ve written today, but I felt like writing about something other than Bobby.  The company that I now work for holds everyone’s performance reviews in January rather than scheduling them for each person’s employment anniversary.  My review meeting is tomorrow, and I received a written review from my supervisor to examine before the meeting.  It says the following:

Rachel came to ISS with very little Java and programming background.  She has proven herself a quick study, well beyond expectations.  The JSPOC program is an example of her ability to quickly learn new skills.  Rachel was asked to learn Visual Basic for this task, and not only did she learn what she needed, she completed her tasks ahead of schedule.  The JSPOC team was completely satisfied with her work.

Rachel comments her code well which helps to show she is thoroughly thinking through the problems. Her peers have been able to easily understand her work and are excited to see her continue to learn and become an integral part of the Intel group.

Yay me!  Cross your fingers for me that I get a raise!

Cheers,
Felina
