Norman’s Nuts
You know, several people have mentioned that I’ve moved to the ‘Bible Belt of the West’. That notion was proven today whilst on my lunch break. As I drove down Academy Boulevard, Arby’s in hand, sucking down a cigarette, and jamming to a DJ Optik mix, I found myself behind an atrocious display of religious and right-wing political views. At first, I laughed — quite literally out loud. However, I soon became livid. I cursed myself for forgetting my camera phone at home this morning, but then I noticed the website address painted across the rear bumper — NormansNuts.com. As I’d hoped, I didn’t need my camera. There are plenty of so proudly displayed pictures of this man’s so-called ‘street campaign’. See for yourself…
Many of the studies listed on his website were funded by Catholic foundations, and he often quotes Biblical passages. When are we going to STOP letting religion rule our politics? I considered pulling up next to the man, casting my most icy glare, and even flipping him off, but I quickly realized that stooping to that level would no sooner resolve the situation. There’s no changing a senile, old man’s close-minded mentality. After all… Norman’s nuts.

That’s just sad. It’s probably kind of mean to say, but I really at times cannot wait until the older generation is too old to be in power anymore, haha, for reasons like this. I just hope my generation grows up to be as accepting as it so far seems to be…

I didn’t know Colorado Springs had religious nuts like that whacko. I was actually considering moving out to Colorado. Not anymore! No Bible Best of the West for me! Anywho, that guy is a freaking idiot. Furthermore, those who are against gay marriage today are just as bad as the people who didn’t want interracial marriage to be legal back in the day.
