Arlington Cemetery (PICS)
<— More pics from Germany and our company holiday party that-a-way!
Over Christmas and New Years, I flew up to Washington DC to visit my brother, Rob, and his wife, Becky. I’d already done most of the touristy stuff on previous visits, but I’d never been to Arlington Cemetery. Here are my shots from that day.
Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The Eternal Flame.
Robert Kennedy’s grave site. It’s almost eerie that it’s completely separated from the other graves and even his own family’s.
I freaking love cemeteries.
I loved that you had a clear view of the Pentagon from this hillside.
Overlooking the Eternal Flame.
Iwo Jima memorial.
Cheers!

So what is the story behind the Unknown Soldier and why does it need to be guarded? Just curious, never heard of it.
