my heart is sad today..

Six years ago today, there was a terrifying bushfire here, people I knew died, children died, many houses and farms were burnt… many still have scars in their hearts.. there have been other fires here, before and after, but the one 6 years ago was really bad..

Today we see there is another really bad one south of Perth in the West.

But today… My Lord, I pray for those in Queensland.. the news of the flooding in Queensland..

The tragedy is just unfolding… beginning…

I thank God I don’t live there, that we are all tucked up in our warm, safe, dry beds.

Cozy and happy…

But my heart is so sad and sorry and feeling helpless and bad…

For those in Queensland…. I want them all to be safe… but it is too late for some already..

The water is acting like an unpredictable bushfire…. absolutely terrifying..

Uncontrollable and deadly.

Awful – I am too scared to watch the news, but don’t want to see it tomorrow even more..

So sad… so sad for the children.. so dirty and smelly.. and to have to throw everything away, even their teddys… we are wondering if they would want our old teddies…they probably just want all the damn water to go away..

how awful… like a tsunami.. praying for them all to get to safe havens…
