Good or bad?

He’s amazing. I am so lucky to have him. I just hope that one of these days I can show him just how much I truly care about him. I think that he is starting to get the hint. Which is good. But we’ll see. So I wrote two poems last night. Here they are. I hope that you all have a great weekend. I don’t know when I will be back on. My family gets back this weekend and I miss them like crazy so I am going to get in as much family time as I possibly can. I love you all. Let me know what you think of my poems

Feelings

A soft and caring voice
Greets me on the other end
Making me feel different than before

Longing to hear this voice
I call his name into the blue sky
Waiting for answers back

I hear the ring and my heart jumps
Could it be the voice I long to hear?
Is that feeling coming again?

With simple words I start to blush
Never felt these feelings before
Something about him is different

Is he the one I’ve searched for?
Will he bring a smile back to my face?
With just a touch of his hand

Searching for the answer
To the question I have pondered
Will I be his girl?

The Marine

Standing beside your brothers
Fighting for our freedom
Words being whispered

On the front line
Putting your life
For all of ours

You seem to be strong
Aware of what is at stake
At the mercy of our country

The price of our freedom
Is payed with your life
For the respect of an ungrateful nation

With these simple words
I say thank you
And am grateful for you
