Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain

I am in Oklahoma for a few days. Little Laughter, my grandson, is nearly 18 months old now but seems old for his age. Lo lo talks up a storm now. Her mom didn’t tell her that The Babe and I were coming for a few days. When we got her last night they brought her to the door to see who had pulled up in the driveway.

":Gogue!! It’s Gogue and ‘The Babe!!’"  She leapt into my arms and held onto my neck for a long time (lol, a good 30 seconds). A great time for living in the moment. It is great to be with them again. I want Isaac to know who Gogue is. He is sitting my lap for the first time (for this visit) right now, while Lo lo gets a shower. He didn’t remember me from before and he is getting molars in so is extra clinging to Nernels, my daughter.

I am typing this in the living room on my new Ipad. Chuck got it at BestBuy for me. The monthly payments will not be bad and I desperately needed it. It is close enough to being a computer for my needs.  I thought about getting a lap top but when I started reading the benefits of this and considered my needs I realize this would be the best thing.  The practical uses of it will be that I will be able to do progress reports and other school projects without having to feel claustrophobic working at my desk for hours and days on end.  I will also be able to work on my book where ever I am. Besides that I am having more fun with drawsomething (hint, hint) and other awesome apps. The Babe and I will so be using it’s kindle capabilities.  We went ahead and got a wireless keyboard and printer too, so I am really set to do whatever I want.

For Christmas I am going to print out great grandbaby pictures of Avy and Lady bug. She has never actually met them.

Well I have family to visit with now so I will go now and may come back to add more later

In Sandy soil I plant this seed, If even only I do heed.

In death is life; won’t be denied, grown by tears of sorrow cried.

The truth is harsh, the babes are dead, I’ll hold mine closer in their stead.

It’s all I have and know to do. I don’t admit those lives are through.

I will not waste this plot of land, it will not wither ‘neath my hand.

Come here my Love, look in my eyes,

Do you know how dear you are to me….?

funny you should type a poem. I am going for an anthology book the area schools and community is invited to particpate in. I will be up against about 4 other schools as well as participants from mine. Pray for my selection. We can submit peoms, memoirs or short story. I will ask God to give me a short story as well… LOVE that you got a new IPAD! Enjoy the visit you lucky Duck!

So you got teh iPad! Yay for you! Sounds exciting. I’m trying to decide whether to get the DrawSomething app for my kindle. Did you lose any games when you switched?

I’m glad to read you arrived in OK safe and sound! The iPad sounds like a perfect fit for you. Just last night, I pulled out the card that you created and sent to me last year 🙂

Wow, an iPad! Sounds like a really good solution for both personal and school needs. Can you use it as a phone, too? Soak up all that baby loving you can get while you’re there. 🙂 Merry Christmas…a little early.

iPad’s are what everyone gets now…I doubt we’ll ever get one, but I bet we’ll get the kids one someday. ryn: Yeah, I did the 40 days of thankfulness in October-November, then this month I’m doing a 25 days of who I see Jesus, and next month I think I’m going to do the 27 acts of kindness for the 27 victims.

I’ve been thinking about an iPad and finally saw one up close and personal yesterday in court. My client brought hers to show the judge her journal entries documenting her perp’s behavior but then decided to cancel the protective order at the last minute. She showed me her iPad instead of acually using it and I realized I could SO use this! It would be just the right thing for me, better than theMacBook that my daughter uses most of the time for her schoolwork anyway. I could easily take it to work or wherever and actually use the thing for well, everything! I’ve nearly talked myself into it for down the road when I have the $ for such a tool! Merry Christmas! Your grandkids sound fun and make me realize I haven’t seen my two local ones for a week or so. Maybe tonight?

RYN: actually I was getting tired of the game do I only have a couple of people now. I’ thought you had lost interest. I’ll see if I can add you on my kindle.
