Misadventures in Chicken Curry
For the record, I’ve never eaten curry before, much less made it. Well, last night I made it and ate it. Although it was etible, I have to say that it was incredibly bland. I got a recipe for it online and liked the ingredients, so I went for it. I stuck very close to the recipe. I even made celantro rice, which I’ve done before. Even that didn’t help it. (BTW, I LOVE celantro rice!) I might try it again some time in the future, IF I get a better recipe. If you have a good recipe for curry, please let me know and I’ll check it out.
It looks yummy though, sorry it was bland!

Did you put hot pepper flakes in it? Or is curry naturally spicy? Or maybe your don’t like spicy?

It does look yummy!

Weird. Curry should not be bland at all. Usually its too spicy and flavorful. It looks good though.

Hmmm…*donning chef’s hat/examining* Try putting the curry on the chicken before you actually cook along w/salt and garlic and let it sit for a few. Sauté green & red bell peppers and then add the chicken. Cook it until done, put in chicken broth, and for a nice flavor coconut milk. AWESOME…I got excited thinking about it.

ryn: WOW, Eric. I copied the Bruce Lee quote and emailed it to myself. I am going to print it and put it on my fridge and on my desk mat. THANK YOU, my friend!

hmmm….strange it was bland. I wouldn’t expect curry to be that way. Ryn: thanks, I feel better. That was definitely not on my list of plans this week though.

Curry can be really good, or really bad, in my experience. Maybe next time! Your pictures do make me want a beer, though.

RYN: Indeed I do, an entire collection of them! I think they sound better, scratches and all. 🙂
