I have been noticing that OD has started functioning normally for most users, but I am still unable to post an entry because the cursor does not show up in that box. I am only able to post titles and write notes. What should I do?

There is no notifications or alert mark coming up when someone leaves note or replies back please do something about it.And we dont even come to know wat the person has replied when we leave suggestion to that person diary bcos we tend to forget names, basically there must be alert mark when we leave note to people diary and when we get note for our own diary with different colors

There’s a Debenhams add that’s taking over my whole screen and blocking some links.

Hello. I am having problems trying to write a new entry in my diary. It wont let me type anything besides the entry title….. I;ve tried several times on different browsers even. Not sure what to do.

Hi EWS, I’m having trouble writing new entries. The page comes up and then nothing, the bar at the top with all the options isn’t there and it doesn’t let me type. Only lets me change the title and date. What do I do? 🙁 Thank you.

NOTICE: If your editor isn’t showing (or not showing correctly) it’s basically about the editor not being compatible with your browser. You can either disable the WYSIWYG editor or… If you’re using Google Chrome and your WYSIWYG editor isn’t showing, go into Diary Maintenance -> Editor Settings and disable “Turn editor on for entries” for the WYSIWYG editor, save it (that’s important), and then re-enable it and save the setting again, and the editor should show up as normal. If you’re using Internet Explorer 10 and are having trouble with the editor when you try to write an entry, you have to turn on Compatibility View in IE10 to use the editor. Click the icon on the toolbar that looks like a torn piece of paper. Eric

I tried your advice in Chrome. It didn’t work. It was working the other day. My IE isn’t working either but I don’t have IE 10. Please advise. My husband and I met on this site over ten years ago, I don’t want to give it up!

So, I can’t write entries again. I’ve clicked that torn paper icon. That worked for me when I wrote to you before. Not happening now!

Hi! I’m receiving this error when I try to download my diary in PDF form: “Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0113’ Script timed out /downfile.asp The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.”Any ideas?

Hi, I’m new to OD and am not quite sure what to expect when it comes to Open Diary Plus. I paid for an upgraded account over five days ago, and my diary still has not been upgraded. How long does it take? Please help me with this issue. Thanks!

Just wondering when my OD+ payment will actually go through. According to PayPal, the transaction is complete but I don’t have OD+ yet. What gives?

I am able to log in but not able to get to my diary at all when I click on my name. This is the error message I get: The website cannot display the page HTTP 500 Most likely causes: •The website is under maintenance. •The website has a programming error. Just before this issue arose I had changed my diary format to Chapter view. Can you help me please? Thank you.

Thank you very much for your assistance. Everything seems to be fine now. Do you know, I bet it must be frustrating for you to see all of the problems with Open Diary but only being able to patch things up. It seems to me that Open Diary needs a major overhaul.

Hi Ews are you any closer to making your diary site?

When I try to download my diary in any format it is not pulling it all. I have tried entering a date and also all entries. I will only go back to 2004 but I have entries from 2001. Any clue why it wont let me download the older entries at all?

Hi, if you get a few moments, could you check on my diary? For the past three days, the toolbar hasn’t appeared, and I can’t enter text in the area where entries are written. I can log in and out with no problem, and I can write titles for entries, but that’s all. I know you’re busy. Any assistance is much appreciated. Thank you,

HOW do you turn off the ads that play the ENTIRE time you are working in your diary? I can’t even find the thing but I can hear it playing nonstop! Help! I need silence to write, not home ec tips from some woman I can’t even see!

Hi, EWS! I’m sorry to bug you, but I’ve got ads showing up in my Lifetime Member account. Sometimes they obscure the note-window so I can’t even see what I’m typing. I haven’t had ads show up on OD in years–how do I make them go away? Thanks!

Hi, I am writing you to address a concern about Opendiary. For as long as I can possibly remember, the website has been really slow. Sometimes I am unable to access the site itself. Sometimes I’m unable to access certain pages on it. There are times when I’m not able to ave entries and I get error messages instead.I understand that there are many diaries on the website that have been started and

is it no longer possible to copy and past text into one’s diary? i used to be able to do that. i can’t seem to do it now and it is extremely frustrating to have to write something all over again. what is the story?

as to the pasting issue, i see i am able to paste after i have already written something and saved it. i then go to “edit” and am able to paste. this was not the case before. i could paste right off the bat without editing something already written. whatever. at least it does work this way. thanks for the tip.

as a follow up i tried to paste the regular way after trying the editing first. now it seems to work again as it did before. i don’t get it, but i am happy to see it working like it used to. (although today’s slowness of the site is frustrating to be sure.)
