Graduation and Post-Graduation

My son’s Graduation was Sunday. Because of the rain, they had it in the auditorium instead of outside on the football field as originally planned. That gym was VERY hot and stuffy. There’s wasn’t ANY air flow what so ever. I’m glad that they kept everything moving a long and got us out of there in only three hours. Hey, it could’ve been longer! *cringes*

All-in-all, it was a successful graduation ceremony. My son enjoyed the day very much and had a great time. Later that night, they had a school given Graduation party that lasted until 3am. My son got back to his mom’s house at 4am. He had the time of his life, and closed that chapter of his life with a definitive ruckus. It’ll be a memory that he’ll cherish in 20 or so years, for sure.

Here are a couple of not-so-great pictures of his graduation from my crappy camera phone. When I get the pictures that his mom and grandmother took, I’ll post some of those.

The first day of post Graduation (Tuesday, not the Monday recovery form the graduation party) he slept in until 2pm. Nice. He better start job hunting! He doesn’t have much time until fall classes for college, and he needs to be saving up a decent amount of money for college. That pell grant that his mom thinks that they qualify won’t cover everything. He needs cash big time, and he needs to get busy NOW.

Not quite sure a summer job will even cover the cost of books. Just got both kids tuition for next semester and it never gets cheaper. Just for books one son’s is $1100 and that is to be a cop! The other is going to be a pharmacist. That school is way to high now and he isn’t even in pharmacy school yet. Ouch!

Congratulations! What a great idea on the school’s part to hold a big grad bash!

CONGRATS! Now, he learns what being “grown up” is all about… … and he’ll realize that he HAD it so good at one time! LOL! I know I do! LOL!

RYN: Books not out in the world. Still stuck in my head. Been working on over 10 years. Have one started, but it’s not a clean draft. I’ll look for it later and e-mail it to ya. Right now tho it’s all airbrush, airbrush, airbrush. HEY! I re-did my site and Sherry couldn’t see it right with IE. I use Firefox and it looked fine. I put an info bar at the bottom. Can you check it for me? thx
