Eggactly, With Bonus Car Accident Coverage

You know that it’s been a while since posting OD when you start to login and you can’t remember your password for a few heartbeats.

I’m living on the toilet today. So far, I have had no end of the runs. I didn’t think too much of it until I read that the FDA will be expanding the egg recall, making eggs previously thought safe possibly subject to recall. And to think that the "safe" dozen eggs that I bought Friday and hard boiled, and have been eating since Sunday, might not be all that safe. Oh yeah, good times.

My son swiped the side of my neighbors car with his car and sped off without telling anyone. What’s worse is that he lied to his mom about his side view mirror saying that someone at work hit his car so that she would pay for a new mirror (which he broke when I tried to install it lol). But I busted him on it.

When I came home, the neighbor was standing by his car fuming. When I saw the red pain on his white broken side mirror, I immediately suspected my son because he has a red car and always parks next to my neighbors car. That, and he’s a horrible at parking.

So, that night I drove to his work (Arby’s by my house) and looked at his side view mirror. Sure enough, it looked like it had hit something. It was missing red paint. So, I went inside and called him over.

"Did you hit my neighbor’s car?"
"No." He said with a deer caught in the headlights look.
"Then what happened to your side view mirror?"
"Um…nothing."
"I was just out looking at your car. ‘Something’ happened to it."
"Well, I might’ve hit someone…"
"My neighbor?"
"Yeah." He said sheepishly.
"I’m telling him that it was you and you’re going to pay for it." And I left.

When I got back and told my neighbor that it was my son that did it, he seemed somewhat relieved. He thought that we might have had vandals in our neighborhood and that’s what really bothered him. So, he got an estimate and it’ll cost $1400 to repair it (damaged driver’s side fender, destroyed drivers side side view mirror with internal glass control, damaged custom front driver side wheel). My son and his mom will submit it to their insurance and we’ll see what happens.
