ryn: Yes I’ve tried probably 10 or so times to post my entry from different computers even and i’m still getting the same error

Shiek_2002 This ODer has today made an entry which is racist and should not be showing on the home page as a Reader’s Choice. I don’t know if there are any “rules” about this sort of entry, but it is extremely offensive. Can you do anything about it.

RYN: Try this sentence. It used to be that we would just round up and enslave people and have them make money for us, but nowadays we end up paying taxes to HELP poor people instead.

I am an OD+ lifetime member and I am noticing in some entries that certain words are highlighted and linked in my friend’s diaries and these links are spam ads. Since I am paying to NOT get ads, should this kind of thing not be blocked? Thanks candi9

Every time I try to write an entry I get a message saying there was an error on the page and to contact OD via the help desk…the help desk is down…sooooooo anything you can do about this?

rynL Hmmm I don’t see it that way on my end. Perhaps it is an issue with me then. When I first click on the entry, it loads up right for a second then poof it’s gone. And like I said when I go into maintenance, the boxes where I can choose a color are all white and when I click on them nothing happens. The only thing that has not changed on my end is my fall pic I have as a menu background.<br>

Hi Ewes I posted an entry. I had taken some notes off OD and put them in a word entry and reposted. That was the error. i put them through text edit and they posted

Thanks for the info, EWS. I appreciate it. Especially about the new diaries – because I keep making new ones and seeing if they show up on the main page, and when they don’t, I assume the bug also applies to those. Maybe I’ll just make a new diary then, and then it won’t have the bug. 🙂

RYN: I don’t recall receiving any further emails, but if I did I would likely have assumed they were duplicates and deleted them (my deleted emails from that date have now been permanently deleted from my Hotmail account). The only proof of purchase I have other than those is my bank statement, which clearly shows two debits of £1.94, both leaving my account on 09/11/2012 following my order on 07/11/2012. I think I’m able to download a copy of my bank statement should you require that as proof of purchase and if there was any way I could send it to you.

I fixed the problem by switching browsers. I just realized that I upgraded Firefox yesterday, so that may have been the problem. Just thought I’d mention it in case it helps you or somebody else solve the problem.

I have a problem with writing an entry unless I am in IE browser I normally use Firefox and have for years… this just began last week. I can note read all I want in FF just can not for what ever reason write an entry I get this: There was an error on this page. I’m getting the same issue, on top of those bookmarking me not being updated on their list. I’ve tried removing any HTML codes, removing tags, editing my settings, and switching from G-chrome to Internet Explorer and I still get the same outcome. Any help would be appreciated.

There’s currently an issue with posting entries, where it will gives an error message but still posts the entry. I have notified The DiaryMaster, and he’s going to look into it. There’s currently no ETA on a resolution. Eric

mate, it’s not working when I try to post my entry in one fo the Diary Circles.

There is an issue where the whole page is just a blank page. There is no way to write an entry at all. I am assuming it may have to do with the fckeditor, but even when I switched to the old format no luck. The following is the message Ir ecieve. “There was an error on this page. Please try again and if you continue to have this problem, please contact us via the ‘help menu’.”

I can’t write in my diary since yesterday either… it says to contact the help desk but guess what? We don’t have one any more. I’ve had my diary for ten years so this is very distressing!

Firefox puts up the message ‘there was an error’ etc. IE loads the posting page but I can’t get the cursor to write in the posting box, so I can only do a header.

If the editor doesn’t show and you’re using Firefox, it will have to do with the version of one of your plug-ins. I believe that it’s the Java plug-in, but I haven’t been able to confirm it. The editor shows in IE and Chrome. Eric

Add me to the list of those who are having issues with Firefox & the no text box, contact the Help Desk. I downloaded the newest version of Firefox today, and it doesn’t seem to like OD for whatever reason.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Each year we’ve run a program called Twelve in 12 (there is a diary under that name) to promote reading and literacy. Participants are asked to read and review one book a month for 12 months. We will be starting up again on January 1, 2013. If you could put up a notice on the front page about it, that would be fabulous.

My entry will post and it shows on the home page, but it never gets bookmarked for some reason. Tried posting it several times last night with the same result.

Seems that entries are not showing up on bookmarks again unless you edit and make a small change. Hope you can help!

I’m aware of the error that you receive after posting an entry. Even though the entry posts, it effects Bookmark updating. I just now messaged the DM about this. Eric

Hi. So I have several friends telling me my entries aren’t showing up in their bookmarks list. Is there anything I can do?

The bookmark issue was because of the posting error we were getting yesterday. Although the entry did post, it errored out before it could update it’s bookmark status. The DM has fixed this. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please let me know here. Eric

Hey. I found a the problem the old embed code and can get to it in any browser IE/Google/Firefox. If you have the video in folder like faves there is a small check box that you either have to check or uncheck to make the video stand alone. It tries to send them as a group unless checked. It will then let you check the old embed code. The other option is to just pull the video up by name. I just tried it in all three of these browsers so does it still work. It took me a while to figure it out but I am stubborn.

It worked earlier to day now the option is gone and the screen looks different I do not know if it went to cached version or what it is no longer there. I do know my computer rebooted while I was a way due to a windows update. Anyway it is my fault I am wrong.
