& you’re mine

& don’t you know that for a love like this, the world would turn the other way & the rivers would reverse their flow if it meant we could stay together? nothing is so pure as love and nature will keep us together if we don’t try to turn away. don’t falter and the ground will stay steady. don’t turn from me and you will never lose sight of where we’re heading together.

“What one mistake do you wish you had never made?” None of them. Every mistake we make changes us at least as much as the good decisions we make, if not moreso. A mistake made in the past is a mistake not made in the future and, hopefully, a lesson learned.
“Above all else, what is your passion in life?” Living. Laughing and loving and finding things to believe in. More to the point, I suppose, music, but when I’m alone and unhappy I can’t feel even that anymore. I don’t think anything is worth anything without others to share it with and an open mind to be willing to experience more.
“If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?” Nothing. I’ve been asked this question in the past and I’ve never known the answer, but I don’t think I would change anything. If you change one thing, you may be gaining something, but you’ll be losing something, too, and I believe that our faults & imperfections are just as important as the things we like about ourselves.

You and I have been together for more than four months now and don’t you know that every day has been impossible? It’s been almost five months since you and I stood outside under the starlight (though the city lights kept them from our eyes & i missed the reminder of infinity; i didn’t realize then that i could look at us and see eternity) and when you kissed me, I didn’t know what we’d set into motion. But here we are and you know I wouldn’t change a moment of it. Here we are and you know I hold every moment close to my heart.
