November mania

So much going on this November! I took the Physics GRE about two weeks ago and I think I did really well. I screwed up, however, and forgot to take the day off of work. Making things even worse, you can’t bring cell phones with you into the exam, so I couldn’t call into work as I sat waiting for the exam to start. My bosses at work definitely weren’t happy about that.

Other stuff that’s been going on – NaNoWriMo. I’ve been using the time this year to work on my novel from last year instead of doing something new. Technically, it doesn’t actually count as NaNoWriMo, but I’m following the word limit and just using it as a motivator to get things done.

Work is pretty slow, but in the later hours of the day I get to study kanji, which makes me feel productive. Also, people from the Summer are coming back for the Winter break – including Emily. I have no idea how that’s going to work out.

I’m still chugging along at eFiction as well, though I haven’t been doing nearly enough reading there as I should. Hopefully I won’t get removed from the editorial staff or anything. :/

That’s about it for now. I’ve been e-mail people for today trying to get PhD program letters all sorted out and now I need to destress with a shower and get ready for class. Wish me luck!
