My Old Diary Description
This was my profile description until recently, probably written in the early 00’s when I was still a teenager. Now it makes me laugh, but I also understand why I felt the way I did about those things. Some of these things have stuck with me over time, while my feels about others have changed. Writing and good books? I love them. Hot Topic? Yeah, I haven’t been in a mall in ages. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind visiting again, but what a funny store from a specific time and place. I now like olives, still dislike hangovers and never got into country music, though I understand the appeal of it for some people. It’s also particularly funny to me that “physics exams” made it onto the list, of all things.
Really, what I see when I read the words below, is the high school me, trying to break out from the mold I was placed into when in Christian school, and finding out what I was all about. It’s crazy how much we still have to learn while in college, while also effectively being legal adults capable of having kids, starting a career, or discovering something scientifically that will change the world.
College has begun to warp my mind beyond recognition, but I’m still growing up. I have a hard time imagining where I’ll be in a few years, which is both discomforting and exciting. So, to sum things up- heres a few likes and dislikes:
I like alternative rock, autumn, good books, writing, hanging out with my friends, traveling, video games, outgoing girls (though other kinds are good too), physics, detective shows (like Cold Case Files), sleeping in on a rainy day, concerts, Hot Topic, cold iced tea, Halloween, the theatre, martial arts movies, and lightning bugs.
I dislike olives, the cold, hangovers, unfriendly people, country music, spring-time allergies, too much pink, intolerance, physics exams, and waking up early.
It could go on, but then what would that leave to the imagination?
