Where has it all gone?

No, this isn’t one of those sad entries i’ve been accustomed too lately (thank god).

Rather, the title is more about me taking notice of well…time, things and just…life on occassion.

I had this entire weekend off…plus today. (Once again, the perks of a state job)

And i mostly just messed around….went out shopping for myself, talked to my mother (today is her birthday after all….) and went to my local little bar and had a few.

The highlight of my weekend…or rather, the apex of it, occurred while at the local walmart. (i know….i know)

So there i was, on saturday afternoon, shopping in walmart. I decide on a new video game, Age of Empires 3 asian dynasties, and i head on over to the check out counter.

The guy, in typical "im morose and work at a shitty job" asks plainly "is that game any good?"

I look at him a bit puzzled (in my mind i’m thinking…"how the f–k should i know, i’m just now buying it), but being that im not some negative ass, i replied "well, its a nice diversion from World of Warcraft."

His ears perk up. "you play warcraft.." what are you…(etc etc)

So we chat about it…turns out him and a bunch of the guys at walmart all play together. In fact, i may just transfer over to their server and join them. We’ll see about that one though.

Either way, he tells me he usually plays during the week. He gives me his character name.

So i log on today, for fun,and he is online. I send him a message, we chat a bit. We talk about what we do. He tells me he is in the police academy. I laugh and told him i am a criminal defense lawyer. Good stuff.

Anyway, i’m gonna be hanging with him and the others from walmart this weekend. Not bad, not bad at all. Things are picking up, for sure!

—Side note: this "desk job" life of a lawyer is getting to me…im starting to feel out of shape. I’ve begun to exercise in my apartment…though i have a feeling it is not enough. I think im going to have to get a membership to the YMCA or something and start swimming on a daily basis. I need to do something. i will not let myself lose this *sexy* physique. haha.

I announced my "tour dates of PA on myspace (dec 20-jan 2nd)" and a number of my friends have jumped up and made plans with me ahead of time. That, to say the least, was a bit shocking. haha. Planning ahead..them? What is the world coming to.
