Sun, Fun, Family….Done!

The month of June has come and gone; July, is always waving goodbye it seems, but things….no doubt, are up!

Summer seems to fly so fast…these days of sun and joy and dreams….Of convertible drives, warm sunsets, lake trips, and smiling friends….

The much needed recap:

The last entry began with a girl. I’m still seeing said girl. Things are going quite well. She lives in Quincy, (like 20 min away) which is not the easiest, but still, managable. We usually spend a weekday or two together, and then the weekend. There are pics of us on facebook. I’m afraid I haven’t updated them on here yet….

Second. My family came to visit over the 4th of July. We did all the touristy-things, but more than that, overall it was alot of fun. Riverboat rides, spelunking in Missouri Caves, and tons of eating and drinking. Ash (the girl) met the fam for the first time. Mom liked her. My cousin liked her. Things went well.

Last week I invited Ash to come to PA with me in September. She agreed, though she is terrified of flying and has never taken a trip by air. That should be an event…..

Ash is out of town until tonight though. Its so quiet, this apartment; this place….without family or friends….I miss them all.

Serious thoughts have been entering again. I may never live in PA again. I miss the family so much. I just don’t know….The traveling bug is finally catching up with me. I do not yet know what I shall do.

I have two great jobs. A great girl. Great friends. Just my family is far away…..(Of course, its been like that for ages)

Last weekend I spent the day on Mark Twain lake, boating with my friends. It was so much fun! The sunset over the water…(the sunburn which inevitably would result) and tons of cheese and crackers, lemonade, sandwiches and good friends.

This has truly been an awesome summer. As i mentioned above, my cousin is (Finally) getting married in September. Another trip home! I can’t wait. Weekend after that; another marriage of my friends. I am really beginning to feel like I am falling behind on that one…

Oh well. That being said. My summer has been awesome. Every week has been booked (hence my lack of writing) and every weekend has been so much fun.

My cousin finally got to fire off some real fireworks. Not simply the sparkler-only limits like in PA….

Oh. And after only 18 months. I paid off the Miata. I am so fucking happy about that…I can’t even express. The first *real* car I ever bought (where I didn’t just pay cash). Bought. Paid. Still love it.

I love the summer. Hope your’s is going as well as mine.
