Home. Life. Freedom.

After 20 hours of flight, an enjoyable random conversation with my flight-seat neighbor, i finally returned to the land of trees, smiles and sunset, and, it has been everything i thought it would be. Its been a draining though enjoyable few days, which included car shopping, outside dining, and a soon-to occur trip to hersheypark. Additionally, i’m plugged back into World of Warcraft, and like any good addiction, the pleasure that ruptured through my veins during my intial login was unbelieveable. Mmmm, gaming and death.

Even the flight, for all its length, was an interesting one. On the flight from anchorage to chicago, i was seated beside a native america woman, who was a ph.d student at the university of Arizona, and who focused on native american issues. She keep poking me for stories about barrow, my adventures, and the entire fiasco. She was on the flight with her 2 teenage children, and overall, we have some great discussions, and even exchanged emails to expand (academically and pragmatically) on our mutual interests/goals. The best though, as we were stepping off the plane and saying goodbye, she gave me this genuine, mother-only smile and said "E, you’re mother must be so proud of you." That hit this boy right in his sensitive spot, and i swear i almost went all gushy-girly right there. Thankfully, i managed to contain myself, echoed a "thank you", and continued on my quest home. I managed to sleep on the plane from chicago to baltimore, and in a grand example of friendship/love D’s dad called to chat with me about Warcraft and how soon i would be back on, it seems he missed me, and hasn’t made much progress during the past months when i wasn’t on. Haha, no surprise there. When the plane finally landed though, i was glad to see the faces of my mother and grandparents, and the lush flora of PA.

Within 20 minutes of being home, my friends started calling me, wanting to hang out. Cheers for friendship-love.

These past few days of being home have been a whirlwind: ive been trying to balance car-shopping with hanging out with my boys, my family, and my out of town friends, not to mention the hersheypark trip on saturday. I swear, i’ve managed about 5-6 hours of sleep a night, but its worth it. I love seeing everyone here.

My intial thrust into the dating scene occured yesterday. A pretty blonde (oh my god!) gave me a little "wink, wink" and i had one of my "moment seizing" moments, and things have progressed from there. Cheers to that.

Things are looking up. I loved my time in barrow, all the tales and storytelling i get to do here in PA, and i even was so amused i took a trip down to the York courthouse (since they just built it) to check it out.

Its sickening how much i really like/will like being a lawyer. I don’t really like "the law" as it is, but it truly is a great way to affect and help people, beginning, of course, with my own family; because, in the end, thats all it comes down too.

-I make it back to MO on monday, expect a flurry of barrow-pics then, including some of me shirtless. Wohoo!

Oodles o’ love,

Erotique
