ikea and dogs

One dog specifically! Ikea was nice. I mooched and browsed, thoroughly enjoying pottering. I didn’t buy much but spent over £800! Yikes. I knew it would end up being a little short of a thousand though.

I asked the lady in the bed department how the home delivery worked to which she said “you can pay £15 to have someone pick it and then the home delivery price or save £15 by picking it yourself”. So, in the name of saving £15 I headed to aisle 17. That was when I discovered that EACH bed weighs more than 100kg! I managed to slide the box slightly but that was it. I would have MORE THAN WILLINGLY paid £15! However, I found some heroes in yellow shirts to manoeuvre them onto the trolleys, I got the mattress’ (four of them as these are bed that can be single (twin) or double beds). And had help pushing the trolley on every part of its journey to the home delivery desk so, I saved the £15 but still didn’t have to actually do the picking myself!

I arrived back home to hear Rich’s voice sternly shouting “no!” I went in a little nervously and there was a huge, hairy, black dog. My pale pine coloured laminate floor had mounds of black hair mixed with a saucisant of drool and Rig looking stressed. The dog? On its hind legs trying to mount Rich.

Roflmao! Ever since getting home I’ve been saying “alpha” to Rich whenever he looks like he’s going to give up! He and the girls are taking it for a long walk while I chill on the sofa (having done the first of million floor cleans! Thank goodness I have a mop that sweeps at the same time!)

Now, I’m getting back to the enjoyment of our gorgeous summery day.
