hit da deck

48 feet don’t seem like much till you cover it in wood,…

and this stuff isn’t the straightest things to work with,..
i tend to think this is a prime indicator that the straight lines and hard angles that mankind seems predisposed to mark the likelihood that this planet is but a stage in human evolution,..

ever lived in a house that was “organic” in form? theres a reason geodesic domes haven’t become common as homes, they go against much of our lifestyle,.. corners,.. people need em,.;)

huh? I figured angles were easier to achieve than curves, but then warped boards aren’t too conducive to nice angles. Maybe that’s what you’re saying?

Our house needs a new deck so badly. Not going to happen though. We agreed to have the house painted. I can’t wait. I hope the HOA lets us paint it the colors we want.

You do such amazing woodwork. I find the whole process very interesting. Hope to see it when it is all finished. That is a nice sized deck. I’m sure you will enjoy it very much.

I actually like geodesic domes….

Straight lines rarely if ever occur in nature… unless it’s the “second nature” that humans try to create. I’m still very impressed by your handiwork, though!

People need corners…I’ve never thought of that. So true. 🙂

48 feet not too long? heck, my mobile home is only 60 feet long. It seems like long to me. Great wood!

That’s a good sized deck.

Good looking deck. I’ve built a few myself. Those days are gone. I hope you are wearing hearing protection while using the saw. The docs think the reason I’m hearing impaired now (74% loss in one ear, 35% loss in the other) is due to using my circular saw without protection so much (that along with hereditary issues).

How’s it coming out? I like reading about your work projects. I think it is because like me, you go from one thing to another. Variety is the spice of life, at least in home remodeling projects. Heh.

My friend has a house with a tower, so there are curved walls in the living room and her bedroom. She has difficulty hanging photos, decorating.
