It is pouring here as Hurricane Alex brought up a lot of extra moisture from the Gulf. We were not in the storm’s path here but still on its dirty side so we are getting an excess of rain. It is blessedly cooler though. We have had heat indexs into the high 90’s. However rain would probably muck up your building but glad to know that the temps are comfortable. Great deck!

Will you be leaving the natural wood as treated or will you be applying some kind of stain? ryn: good on you regarding the hearing thing.

With your title I was expecting to see a pot of soup. Maybe that is because I made soup today. That deck will be a lovely place to work and linger.

It looks labour intensive but it will be very satisfying to sit on that deck, sipping a cool glass of whatever, and surveying your handiwork.

Nice. Except for the dirt. Looks like a hassle…

Hahhaha…. I was expecting that a skeleton showed up in the rubble (from the title). Great progress!!! It is also unseasonably cool here in NC. I’m home for the weekend frm the job in NY (brrrrr) and the cooool weather followed me. What a delight to have the holiday at home!
