[o12] Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was a good day. Started off a little rocky, but… turned out nice.

First, I had to go to work. I opened the store, and Joe was a few minutes late. So when I opened, I had 5 customers at the door and only myself to cashier, check prices, help customers, etc. But once Joe got there, things got a little smoother. It was a lot busier than I expected. Luckily I was only on until 12, so… I got to enjoy most of the day.

After 12, I went straight from work to Tom’s mother’s house. There we had turkey and all the fixin’s. It was pretty good. Turkey isn’t my favorite, but the taters and stuffing were awesome.

After that, we went to my parents house, and shortly after, departed to dinner at Brookstone Grille. It was pretty good. The food was a little fancy for my tastes, but it was still a good time. I got a butternut squash bisque, some ham, and a pumpkin cheesecake. The bisque was okay. The ham was yummy. And the cheesecake was to die for. Absolutely delicious.

After dinner, we went back to my parents’ house and hung out for a bit. Then we came home.

I turned on the computer to find an e-card from Richie in my email. It was cute. And it made me smile. It was all about "taters". Haha. And she signed it:

Which kind of caught me off guard. But also made me feel pretty good about myself. It’s obvious she does want to be friends. I’ve been a little worried about actually calling her for fear of coming off as a stalker (which since she gave me her number doesn’t make much sense, but you know). But obviously she does like me. And considers me a friend. So… I’m feeling good about this.

But now… I’m off to bed. I will write more tomorrow, I’m sure.
