Computer Issues!

With Alex knowing how to get the games open on our computers, I set up an old computer of mine for him to be able to play games on.

We went to Target last night and we found a Thomas the Train game that is also educational.  It’s really hard to resist him holding tightly onto it and going, "Thomas home?  Thomas home?"

So we bring it home and I try to get it installed…only to find out my CD-Rom doesn’t work.  So I figure okay, if I remember right it was having issues back when I used that computer.  So I switched out the CD-Rom drive and I still can’t get it to work.  It opens, it sounds like it is reading the CD, but the icon never shows up in my computer.  And if I put in the XP disk, it doesn’t boot off that at all, doesn’t even have the option to boot from that.

I don’t know if the cables inside are hooked up wrong or what.  But it’s very annoying!  Any suggestions or ideas?

EDIT:  Woot!  I got it FIXED!!!  I had to add in a 2nd cable for just the hard drive or the CD Rom, but I have it reformatting right now!
