It bothers me that you say love is the easiest thing to do. Love can be one of the most challenging things to experience and express, despite how deeply fulfilling it can be. Loving someone means opening yourself up to the possibility of hurt or disappointment. Love often comes with high expectations. We expect our partners to meet our emotional needs, and when they don’t, it can lead to frustration, or resentment…he already has a girlfriend. Doesn’t speak much to his character if he’s pursuing you. Love can bring immense joy, it also requires vulnerability, effort, compromise, and growth. All of which can make it challenging.
