Not Gilligan’s Island

"Not Gilligan’s Island"

——————————————————-

Thoughts are frayed

a myriad of rope

each strand holds within potential hope

hanging, waiting, in chaotic fashion.

Perched against a palm tree

separating, sorting, tying up loose ends

my spirit transcends

providing a light.

Dear water baby

swimming by moonlight

my rescue might be lingering

but do not fret

the ocean’s arms will guide

I can see you

I can hear you

the rope will bring you to me.

Grains of sand

blanket my skin, tickling my toes

the sun kissing my nose

skipping, jumping, I am on my way.

A warm breeze whispering in the air

swirling, echoing in my ear

telling me there is nothing to fear

forward, I step.

Dear water baby

grab a-hold of the line

and do not fret

I will hold you in my arms

I can feel you

I can love you

the beginning was always within me…—

ryn: thanks so much! glad you enjoyed it! I love this piece; to me it invoked memories and expectations of finding more lost pieces of myself. Beautiful imagery, thank you 🙂 PS– one of my friends lost a day this week, too. must be going around. Peace, Love, and Anarchy! 🙂

Beauty. Reminded me of California or Rhode Island on a sunny day…which is rare, actually. *smile* I’ve read a few of your poems before in a kick of boredom. You’re very…versatile. 😀

he he..Hicalendars really can be useful-they are to me! Wow, u have been here a while, and u still keep writing… u have not changed, that’s for sure…i luv it! Anyway, im someone who used to come by quite often–that was a longggg time ago (it seems) And i think u just might remember me–but then again, maybe not cuz u have had LOTS of fans in the past couple years! Glad to come by again. cya!

RYN: Hah! Thanks! I actually wanted people to be reminded a bit of Roman times. The days of Christ. That was the gospel of my own little religion. *laughter* *sigh* Anyways. Thank you for saying you like my front page. I worked hard on it and I’m glad you appreciate it. Yes, insomnia can be good and bad sometimes. Ya gotta love those twisted ideas. ^^
