Chicago

I’m in Chicago and my iPhone is not fond of open diary! Alas, this will be but a brief entry. Chicago is… Busy. It’s been a year since I’ve been in a city with grit and rudeness. It’s making me miss my quiet Ohio town… Can’t believe I’m admitting that… But yes, I miss wholeness already. Still, I am willing to give Chicago it’s fair shot. In a city of creative intellectuals it can’t be all that bad!

Tomorrow I am presenting to customers. I should be panicked but I’m not. 🙂 I love my job and my peers. Sometimes I think it’s odd that I’m the lone female… And yes, I do need to keep them on tract… But they are amazing people to work with. Have I said it? I love my job… I’m the 20% that can say that… Hmmm

Off to bed I go.

Ps. Remind me to tell you about my adoptive parents… The dad is an English teacher and we were reciting Dickinson poems to the rest of the family yesterday… And then he showed me an autograph from Faulkner. Yes! 🙂 my heart was happy… If only I could have shared my joys with you… I am still incomplete in that regard.. But we carry on. That, we must do.
