I Got Your Ticket Right Here
A bit of an update is in order.
Mrs. Ender and I have been very involved in the end of the regular baseball season and I’ve not had time to write. I’ve never been this informed, aware and concerned about baseball.
We are Washington Nationals fans and first year, half season ticket holders. That means that we went to about 41 games this year, so far, and it also means that we were offered playoff tickets and World Series tickets. Which we bought.
Then the Nats made everything exciting by waiting just long enough to clinch a playoff spot and then just a bit longer to clich the Division Championship and then just a bit longer to share the best record in all of baseball for 2012.
Did I mention that we have playoff tickets and World Series tickets? I’m not sure if I’ve ever even WATCHED a World Series game, and now I’ve got tickets. Sure, the Nationals have to win their division series (to be played against either Atlanta or St. Louis) and then they have to win the League Championship (against either San Francisco or Cincinnati), but that’s not asking too much. World Freaking Series tickets.
If everything works out and our World Series tickets are for games that will actually be played, we are seriously considering selling our tickets for the first or second game. We suspect that each will be worth upwards of $1500, maybe more. The drawback is that we’d miss a World Series game. But, how often do you get to say that you have a ticket to A World Series game, let alone tickets to ALL the (home) World Series games?
That reminds me, I should probably put all the tickets into the safe at home. Just in case.
Ender is out.
