Why does this make me sad.
Here I am watching a video about a woman who was on death row. She is talking about what happened in her case. Saying she was watched while she committed a murder. Now here I am listening to her talk and I am crying, because I don’t think she deserves death? Why am I crying? She killed people. I don’t know, that’s so sad. I hate it. I hate that we kill people. Why kill, why get revenge. Why not let karma do its job.
Because karma has favorites. And because it’s not fair that someone keeps their rights if they violate someone else’s rights. And because that which serves no useful purpose, and what’s more, that which is a cancer to the world, should not be kept around. What we need around is more people that have a compassionate heart, like you do – this way the murders would end. (And that answers your question: it makes you sad because deep inside you KNOW, because you feel it, that such behavior should be contrary to human nature). I feel your pain, but I also err on the side of those who did nothing to deserve the violence they got.

I think you’re upset because you have a heart and you care about people. Spending your life on death row sounds horrible.

There is a TV show on HLN called Death Row Stories and these particular ones always get re-investigated and the people end up being innocent.
