The Office on Daylight Savings Time
This week has flown by so fast! I can’t believe it’s Thursday already!
I was at the coffee counter at 7:45 a.m. thinking it was 8:45 a.m. because of a super huge clock that is too hard to get to that is going to be staying on Daylight Savings Time all winter. I didn’t expect it would cause that much of an issue for me since I have a smaller clock in my apartment that has the correct time. HOWEVER, while I was heading to my area with my coffee, Max shows up and says, “why are you here so early?” and I said, “Well, it’s 9 o’clock!” and he said, “Look at the clock, it’s 8 o’clock!”
So, I got an early start to the day. First discussion resulted in Max putting forth the idea that we publish song books. It’s something we’ve never done and had never ever thought of. So, we discussed the possibility, and everyone agreed it was a good idea and we could try. So, we will be starting with various types of song books including Christian music and children’s. I will be doing a children’s song book using all my children’s songs on my Lizzie Timewarp Youtube channel. I figured I would have to draw out all the chord diagrams, but Max said he has chord charts and we can get them already done, so now I have them! It might be easier than I thought. I think it will be a fun project and will be a book for kids who are learning to play guitar, and will include a full color image for each song, so kind of like a song book picture book.
So, it’s only 9:26 a.m. and I’ve already gotten a lot of stuff done that I’ve been putting off. I spent yesterday dealing with distribution issues and organizing the direction change for our epubs. We’ve ended our contract with our illustrator so I just may end up doing illustrations myself. I do enjoy drawing in my spare time, the unfortunate thing is, I rarely have any “spare” time. Although apparently I’m still on Daylight Savings time, so eventually, I will set my clock back and get a whole extra hour!
Onward and upward!
