I’ve been too tired to write

The past couple weeks have been hectic. I’m still in the process of setting up different accounts for publishing and finishing up the website (www.abigfivehouse.com ) working out the details of business insurance, and setting up the corporate bank. I’ve put as much information as possible on the submissions policies for authors, hoping to make it clear. In the past, I’ve had an author submit an entire book and because she was referred by a friend who was an agent, I said I would publish it. Then, my friend who is an agent, said they were going to go with a bigger house, after the bigger house saw that another publishing company had interest in it. So, I wasted all that time reading a book that wasn’t even all that well written, but I only agreed to accept it because the agent was my friend. I will no longer allow my time to be used as leverage for unethical people.

I’m just tired today and don’t think I will get much done. I’ve done the budget for the next three months, so I guess I did get something done today.
